What's your business, and who are your customers?
Fenixx Nail Co is a nail brand. We specialize in luxury acrylic powder and luxury gel polishes. We have over 50 cover colors and 100+ gel polishes. Our gel polishes meet full-color coverage on one coat. There is no need to add layers to meet color coverage. Our acrylic powders are designed to work with most monomers and have a medium drying time. You will find that our acrylics are buttery, non-runny, and have no marbling. Our customer is the typical nail technician, nail enthusiast, master nail technician, and/or nail technician student.
Tell us about yourself
My love for color is what prompted me to start my business. As a former practicing nail technician, I was faced with the issue of never having the colors I wanted. I started creating my own color. When a customer tells me that Fenixx Nail Co products make them a better nail technician, this is truly motivating. Every day I strive for that same experience for all of my customers. This is why I do what I do. Provide luxurious colors that make better nail technicians, better nail enthusiasts, and better nail technician students.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a business owner, my biggest accomplishment is being able to speak with customers about their experience with Fenixx. It means a lot to be able to respond to their emails or messages via social media. It’s important to be relatable to the customers. I can be that because I am available to my customers.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is being too giving. You want to be giving. You want to share your products with any and everybody regardless of whether they are paying or not. This is very hard because I believe in my products so much I’m like, here, try it out for free. This can get you used, and I have to work on that.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Understand that social media likes and views do not equate to sales.
- Build your email list and keep it handy.
- Get to know the world of ads because this is what sells your products.
