What's your business, and who are your customers?
FenixCommerce provides a software-as-a-service platform to retailers and DTC brands looking to provide their customers with a worry-free Amazon shopping experience. Fenix offers the industry's most comprehensive delivery management platform and serves small businesses to large Fortune 500 brands.
Tell us about yourself
I have been in the industry for over 25 years. Prior to Fenix, I ran shipping and returns for eBay marketplaces. It was obvious that the customer's online shopping needs were not met by the technology solutions available in the industry. The only option for the retailers and brands was to invest a lot of money and time and build something in-house that didn't do the job. This prompted me to start Fenix to build a delivery management platform.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The biggest accomplishment is definitely finding my colleagues who believed in the idea and me and are still with me as we continue on the journey to level the playing field for every retailer/brand.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
A business is defined and shaped by its people. One of the most critical things is to continue to find the right folks who believe in the mission and vision of the company and are ready to take us to the next level and are looking for the long term.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in yourself.
- Find the people who bring a complementary skillset to what you have.
- You will be making lots of hard decisions along the way, so brace yourself for the ups and downs.
