Tell us about yourself

Artistry is my birthright. I enjoy crafting, sketching, writing poetry, sewing, and learning new things as a creator. I have been gaining influence from my father's sketchbooks and other creators and solo entrepreneurs my entire life. I remember spending time at community festivals and flea markets as a child and dreaming of being as confident and courageous as those gifted individuals who are bold enough to follow their own path and pursue their creative ambitions. During my spiritual journey, I became fascinated with candle-making after discovering the power of aromatherapy. I also realized that making them myself was much cheaper than buying them.

I had the advantage of customizing the scents, adding herbs, and having positive outcomes with them. As a result, I started selling candles to share my love and passion for crafting with the world. It's easy to stay motivated when you love what you're doing. I can do anything as long as I put my mind to it and have the willpower to do so. I create because it soothes my soul. I desire to preserve a reflection of my enthusiasm for creativity, motivated by the pursuit of authenticity, freedom of expression, and fulfillment of my life's purpose. Through perseverance, I keep my momentum going.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest accomplishment is creating meaningful relationships with loyal customers who experience pleasure, comfort, peace, and total bliss when using my handmade products. We care about nurturing genuine connections with a community of beautiful individuals, getting to know their needs, and then accommodating them.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As a solo entrepreneur, managing the workflow is one of the hardest things about running a business. Of course, there are roadblocks along the way, where I have to slow down and take it all in. Even so, I never lose the drive to excel because there are no obstacles too big or too small to stop me from reaching my goals. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Business success is a combination of perseverance and having a growth mindset. Always focus on your goals, strive for improvement, and never compare your success with others, no matter where you are in your business journey.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The opportunity to be featured among Mississippi's creatives, solo entrepreneurs, and business owners is an honor. Thank you!
