Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Traci Mahan, CEO of Feel to Heal Coaching, located in Cypress, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Feminine Embodiment & Conscious Breath Facilitator for women. I teach women to author their life through breathwork and emotional release. I help women to reconnect with their feminine body wisdom, nervous system regulation, subconscious reprogramming, and somatic embodiment practices to heal their relationship with themselves and their bodies and reclaim their power.

Tell us about yourself

My husband and my daughter are both chiropractors in our family practice, so holistic health has always been who we are. In 2004, I found my greatest health challenge in supporting myself through dialysis and, ultimately, two kidney transplants. I began this work for my physical health by training on a low-inflammatory diet, and in the last four years since my last transplant, I’ve found out how my body has been in my sympathetic nervous system, and that creates more stress and inflammation on the emotional side of our being.

I went to a holistic retreat after my last transplant, which included breathing every day. Ever since my first breath class, I have found I can completely relax my body and feel it!! I had been holding back my emotions, holding on to be strong for my family, and my body was fighting back, which resulted in disease. Now I feel better at 55 than ever before! I continue to include breathing in my morning routine and teach breathwork to our patients in the clinic and my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Watching women wake up to their feeling and emotions and author their life. It’s the greatest gift.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The most difficult is getting women to say yes to themselves. We tend to give to everyone else in the family first, and I am here to change it. Also, getting the message out of what I do. I have been networking and reaching out to our patients, and we are growing as a result.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Find what you are passionate about. When you are aligned with your passion, your energy is easy, and it attracts others!

Second, network. Go to local networking meetings and talk about your business to everyone who will listen.

Lastly, don’t give up. Consistency is key to branding. When they see you flip-flop on your messaging, it confuses people, and a confused mind doesn’t buy.

Where can people find you and your business?
