What's your business, and who are your customers?
Farm to Pet makes and sells 100% single-ingredient treats for dogs. Our products are always responsibly sourced and produced without fillers, additives, or by-products.
Tell us about yourself
I felt there was a major gap in the market for simple, healthy treats for pets that they actually enjoy eating. When I started experimenting with the first "Chicken Chip" prototypes and shared them with my dog, Rooney, I knew I had a hit. Since that moment, I have been working with my team to get our treats into the mouths of as many dogs as possible.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a product that truly brings joy to our customers (dogs AND their paw parents).
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Trying to stay on top of it all! Marketing, production, payroll, technology, customer service, research, shipping, taxes, employees, etc. Spending the time figuring out when to delegate and when to do the work myself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Ensure you are passionate about your product, service, and industry. Keep on top of the numbers and roll up your sleeves to learn new skills to save money when starting out. Build a base of loyal customers by listening to them and treating them right.
