My business is Face La Vie. It is a luxury skincare, beauty, and brow bar. We are devoted to creating beautiful faces.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Lynn Palin, and I began my business journey a little over 5 years ago after relocating to my hometown of Woonsocket, RI, from NYC to foster and then later adopt my nephew and raise him as my son. I built my business, so I could prioritize him and still work.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I would have to say my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the ability to prioritize my son. If we are talking numbers, I saw my ROI after 3.5 months. I have developed a luxury skincare line and was recently featured as one of the entrepreneurs on the reality incubator show, The Blox.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being an entrepreneur and business owner isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s definitely a labor of love, and you have to have passion for what you do. It’s quite literally a 24/7 time frame of work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Starting a business. Two things. First, don’t sit on your idea for too long. You will overthink it! Second, make sure your overhead is on the lower end. It will help as you maintain along the way.
Running a business. Make sure to stay up to date with your processes. No matter how tedious they may be, make sure your employees stay on the same page.
Growing your business. Make sure you can scale or have something in your business that is scalable use technology and social media because the internet has no range!
