We find health-focused, busy-working individuals and moms as our biggest fans!
Tell us about yourself
My partner, Claudia Poulin, and I are the co-founders of Evive Nutrition. We started Evive to make healthy eating accessible and available to everyone. Time and money should not be an obstacle to eating healthily. Our goal for the company is to promote healthy eating and reduce our ecological footprint. Since launching our blender-free smoothies, we've built our business and brand by continuously evolving and adding new products and creating new recipes that can be enjoyed by all. With an active and growing online presence, we hope to inspire others to want to be healthier and live to their fullest potential without having to sacrifice in the process.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We had a dream to see Evive in Quebec but also everywhere in Canada and in the USA, and as of now, we are in almost every State and Province in both countries, and it makes us very proud when we go to a grocery store in Seattle, Vancouver or San Diego and we see our products there!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
People! Building, motivating, meeting, or managing people's expectations is the toughest part, but when you have a team that works incredibly well together, and you feel all part of a team and something special, it's when the magic and the fun happen.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I would say I mostly have 2 top tips.
- Get someone savvy in finance in your team early on to make sure your economics, your investments, and the way you finance the business make sense.
- Everyone gave me this advice, but I didn't listen. Make sure you innovate within your core business; trying to go too wide too early really impacts your ability to focus.
