Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Laura Bostrom, Owner of Everyday Order, located in Caldwell, NJ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I have an organizing business in Northern New Jersey, and we serve busy families and help them get control of their space by setting up organizing systems for their homes.

Tell us about yourself

I started the company in 2016 because I realized the joy of living with less in my own home and couldn't wait to help others. I love seeing the transformations take place in people's homes and seeing their faces light up when they see their new space. There's something contagious about shedding what no longer serves you to create room for what matters most.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Growing my team so we can help even more people fall in love with their homes again!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Getting out of my comfort zone and doing something that scares me each day. But I wouldn't trade it for the world.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Take action, even if it's small, towards your goals. You can listen to podcasts and read books all you want, but you have to take action to get to where you want to go.
  2. What got you here won't get you there.
  3. Don't assume anything! Ask all the questions.
