What's your business, and who are your customers?
EV&D Solutions provides strategic digital transformation solutions through innovation for our clients. Our services range from strategic consulting, technology creation, interactive development, and customer experience. We serve a broad sector of verticals, covering Healthcare, Fintech, Startups, Retail, and eCommerce. Our vast experience in many specialized areas gives us a unique perspective that allows us to devise solutions that inherently move the needle for our clients.
Tell us about yourself
I have had the fortunate opportunity to work for a multitude of industries and clients alike...ranging from startups to Fortune 500 clients. Throughout my career, I have always been at the forefront of technical solutions, whether devising marketing plans, reimagining retail, or creating customized software applications that serve our clients and their end users. After working for other consultancies and agencies for over 15 years, I decided that it was time to spread my wings and begin to provide a new type of consultancy that addresses clients' core opportunity areas. The drive that I have is 100% derived from serving my life's purpose, which is to serve others and be the best steward that I can be. I have a thirst for innovation and an ability to see solutions where others see problems. This drive keeps me motivated to forge ahead and ensure that we deliver only the best for our clients at every turn.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment was making the jump into an entrepreneurial world and mindset. This was one of the hardest things to accomplish, taking the initial jump blindly and without a safety net...as scary and as uncertain it was, it is also a huge motivator, knowing that I have only myself to rely on. Being one with other people's livelihood and well-being at stake amplifies the pressure but can be a powerful motivator.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Despite having amazing people who support me in almost every aspect, one of the biggest challenges I have to face is knowing that my decisions can have such a vast impact. Being responsible for employees and contractors weighs heavily on an individual...it is more than just myself that I am obligated to. Beyond that, there is the weight of providing solutions and recommendations to our clients.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it; it may be scary and make you feel uncertain, but remember, you are betting on yourself!
- Be confident and trust in yourself.
- Always deliver more than expected - this will always be appreciated, respected, and returned!
