Anonymous Mental Health and Wellness App - Eufinity Wellness

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Aashi Faldu, co-founder and CEO of Eufinity Wellness, located in Gainesville, FL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Eufinity Wellness is a mental health and wellness app that makes mental health care affordable, anonymous, and accessible. Mental health is an everyday need that people need to share, especially after the pandemic. The need to discuss mental health has drastically increased, especially in the youth population. When it comes to mental healthcare, three major factors come between an individual and a healthy lifestyle: emotional baggage, cost, and accessibility.

Our anonymous text-based service protects our user’s privacy and identity to assure that their journey to achieve healthy mental health conditions is their only concern. Our goal is to make mental health care more accessible for college students. We intend to do this by offering affordable mental on-demand at the tip of their fingertips that fit the schedules of busy college students.

Tell us about yourself

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Florida, majoring in Biology and minoring in Innovation with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence. During the pandemic, after being isolated from friends and family, I experienced stress and didn't know who I could talk to. So I tried to see what options were available, but it turns out the wait time to get an appointment was three months. I need to talk to someone as soon as possible. So I asked my friends, and they were going through something similar. Turns out this was just about every college student's situation.

I wanted to create a safe space where individuals can talk about their mental health without worrying about social pressures, cost, or identity. I gathered a group of friends, we started working on our idea and started our first startup, Eufinity. We realized that we would love to share what we were doing with others, and just like us, there were hundreds of students who didn't get the internship experience they wanted and were facing the same mental health conditions as us. Making a difference matters to me, that's why I created Eufinity.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is participating in the UF Big Idea Competition and winning third place out of 125 startups.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing as a startup is learning how to grow your business when financial resources are limited. My entire team is voluntary, and I'm thankful for the hard and dedication they put into Eufinty because this journey would not be the same without them.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Firstly believe in your idea, even though it may not be perfect. Secondly, network, meet, and talk to as many people as possible. Business is all about learning, whether that be learning from the mistakes of others or sharing your own. Lastly, embrace the experience and have fun. Having a business can be stressful, and important to make time and embrace your journey.
