What's your business, and who are your customers?
Erin Pelicano is a meaningful fine jewelry brand, offering exclusively American Made jewelry gifts packaged to celebrate our customer's favorite people and times in their life. I designed the entire collection inspired by my own life, as pieces that are both symbolic and easy to wear daily. Our clients range from women gifting themselves a beautiful piece of jewelry that represents something special in their life to loved ones finding the perfect piece of jewelry to share with their Mom, Wife, Daughter, Girlfriend, Sister, or Best Friend.
Tell us about yourself
As a young Mom and entrepreneur at heart, I made a career pivot in 2011 from my degree field of Engineering. Taking a leap into entrepreneurship isn't always the easiest path, but I've found it incredibly rewarding. I decided to pursue a love of design and a heart for business with a product that offers hope and joy to our clients. The entire collection is inspired by my life and my family, who are my biggest supporters and motivation.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Over the past decade, I've been featured in national publications and national news programs, and I've become a small business advocate speaking to Congress and serving other business owners. I would say my biggest accomplishment is continuing to grow and evolve and serve clients after over a decade.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing as a business owner is juggling the many job descriptions and tasks you fill. Finding focus on what you're best at and outsourcing help where you need it is key.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find the meeting place of what you are good at and what you love.
- Set both realistic goals and stretch goals.
- Prioritize your sleep & health.
