What's your business, and who are your customers?
My company, Enlightened Path Healing, helps spiritual seekers connect with their own natural healing abilities, break through limiting behavior, heal pain and trauma, and take control of their destinies.
Tell us about yourself
My background is in public relations and social media management. During the pandemic, my profession was gutted, and I needed to explore new ways to support myself. I was told many times that I am a natural healer, so I knew this was the time to follow this path. I also knew that even when things started returning to normal, people were going to need assistance dealing with the losses they had, I wanted to use my abilities to help people heal this pain.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having wonderful clients. That's all that matters.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Realizing that I have to do everything myself. My background in PR and social media was very helpful, but I also have to be an accountant, executive assistant, project manager, and program director. Everything starts and stops with me.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Build a team of trusted allies. They will be an invaluable support system when times get tough.
- Don't take things personally. Sometimes a client will leave you for someone else, or a potential collaboration will fall through. You want to work with people who want to work with you. If they have any doubts, let them go.
- Set normal business hours for yourself. Working 12+ hours daily will burn you out and make you resent your business. Take time to relax and recharge.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
No one is going to sweep in and make you a success. But trust me, it is so satisfying to know that you brought your own vision to life.
