Tell us about yourself
I am originally from Brazil and have been in the wellness industry for 25 years. Back in 2009, after having my daughter, I had postpartum depression. I was in great physical shape, but I was very stressed and anxious. I was missing out on a very important time in my life, feeling withdrawn and hopeless. I always searched for a holistic approach to healing, and after implementing meditation for six months, I was 100% depression-free. I then went to study under great spiritual masters, and I knew I wanted to share what I learned with others. Many people struggle with their mental and physical health, but they have no idea what to do. What I teach is simple yet so effective. I get so excited to watch my clients have incredible breakthroughs, which inspires me to continue sharing my message.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I feel that each person that I have helped is a huge accomplishment. I see myself in each one of them and how tough it is to live with depression, fatigued, and full of stress. There have been several occasions when someone reached out telling me the difference I made in their lives. For me, nothing can be more important in business than that.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being on the clock 24/7! There is never really a break unless you create that break. So for me, it is about following my advice and creating balance in my life. I learned how to take time off and leave my computer and phone to the side. I sit down to meditate or go outside and look at the trees and the pond I have in the backyard.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start small, don't let your ego make the decisions for you.
- If you don't make yourself a priority, nobody else will. Work hard, but take time to do the things that matter.
- When choosing your business, do something that you love, that ignites your soul, and is in alignment with your purpose. Know that some days will be challenging, but stay true to your mission, and it will be all worth it.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
It takes a village to build a business, don't be afraid to ask for help. Create a network of like-minded professionals and build your businesses together.
