What's your business, and who are your customers?
Endeavorun hosts retreats and educational experiences for runners of all levels and abilities.
Tell us about yourself
Years ago, I became fascinated by what professional runners were doing differently than amateurs. My goal was to try and give everyday runners the tools to transform themselves into the runners they want to be by emulating the pros. I'm motivated by the athletes who have participated in our retreats and seeing them become one.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Without question, it's the team of experts, coaches, and pros we have brought together. I am so proud of all the work they do for our athletes and enjoy watching them grow through the experiences themselves.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Wearing so many different hats – many of which are not areas of natural talent for me. I'm head of product, head of finance, head of human resources, head of marketing, head of sales, head of operations, etc. While I only excel at one or two of those things, I need to do all of them well.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Iterate as you go.
- Get really good at time management.
- Ask for feedback - especially the kind you don't want to hear.
