Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Mary Ruddick, owner of Enable Your Healing, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Enable Your Healing is a revolution in healthcare. On its surface, it looks like a nutritional practice. However, we have several branches under the umbrella of Enable Your Healing: client work, in-depth practitioner training, do-it-yourself courses, a collaboration with insurance companies to turn healthcare on its head, a project in African villages, and a branch for medical studies.

We specialize in disabling chronic diseases. We work with over 41 different medical diets to shift the microbiome, rebuild the nervous system, and rebuild the immune system. In the process, we train clients in the hero mindset and the mindset of the champion. Clients transform from a place of victimhood to utter and complete independence and empowerment. Our goal is to get clients to where they no longer need us!

Tell us about yourself

There is nothing I love more than seeing a client reverse a condition that they thought they would be living with for the rest of their lives. When you are in this line of work, you don't need the motivation to show up. You can't get enough of it! Each time a client hits recovery, I feel as if I've time-traveled back to my old illness and helped myself in some way. So how did I get into this? I fell in! I spent twelve years disabled from a severe case of dysautonomia. When I realized nearly a decade in that no doctor had a solution, I took my health into my own hands. After many years of trial and error, I landed on a diet and lifestyle protocol that reversed my condition. I went back to school for nutrition. I have been on a mission to make this treasure trove of information household knowledge. That way, others can either prevent illness altogether or speed up their recovery!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Getting to witness how untouched tribes around the globe live and eat. It is remarkable the level of health one can attain when one lives in line with ancestral knowledge.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Balancing my family life!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Work from your passion and not from your financial goals or needs. When you work from a place of purpose, your work quality is such that you don't need advertising.
