What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a go-to leadership and marketing coach and advisor in Web 3 and Tech. I provide compassionate support and understanding based on my 7 years in the space as a leader to help women working in Web 3 develop the balance and confidence needed to thrive in their careers and business.
Tell us about yourself
I've been a marketing leader, supporting women in the Web 3 and cryptocurrency industry since 2016. I'm an EMCC-accredited coach, host of Web 3 and Thrive podcast, and Board Advisor to multiple other impact projects in the space. I was also selected as one of the Top 100 'Women of The Future' in 2022. I led marketing teams for exchanges like Liquid Exchange, taking user retention from 10% to over 60%, and was Head of Product Marketing at OKX Global and AAX Global + more. I started my Podcast while I was training to be a coach, and those 2, plus my consulting business, have been more successful than I could ever have imagined!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Getting the podcast out of the door and getting the first 1000 downloads. Then secondly, making 6 months of a full-time CMO salary (150kusd) in 2 months for less than part-time hours.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Keeping disciplined and procrastination.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Validate your idea first before wasting time and resources.
- Identify skill gaps you need to launch the biz and understand how to fill them, be that learning or outsourcing.
- Understand your strengths and lean into them.
- Get a coach to keep you on track, break through blockers and help you overcome various challenges. I wouldn't have been this successful without my amazing coach.
