What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are an allergy-friendly bakery that specializes in gluten and dairy-free and gluten-free and vegan baked goods.
Tell us about yourself
I started off blogging about the gluten and dairy-free lifestyle due to my own health issues and food allergies. Then it evolved into a bakery. It is important for us to deliver high-quality food that is free from different allergens yet still delicious and tastes like something your grandma would make.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is selling out at multiple markets and having customers return to purchase more during the same event.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is finding balance. Sometimes it's hard to stop creating and planning for what's next.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Three tips that I would give to anyone who is looking to start a business:
- Always go where you are valued. Your target audience will buy from you if you deliver a great product and it's priced correctly for the market.
- Focus on finding one or two things that you can specialize in and then sell a lot of them.
- You don't have to be perfect to get started. Tweak along the way.
