What's your business, and who are your customers?
It is a psychological practice. My customers are clients looking for an expert in one or two areas.
Tell us about yourself
I am a well-known psychologist with decades of experience. The "Cs" in Embracing the Four Seas (Cs) is an acronym that stands for caring, compassionate, competent, and connected. I am an expert in addictions counseling and sexuality counseling.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Becoming licensed in another province (Ontario). Most of my practice is online. I am also licensed to practice through the territories.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Many clients want quick fixes, and that is not always possible.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Know your product, become an outstanding provider of it, and advertise sufficiently to get the word out there.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I have had 11 books published, and I am currently working on a 12th called "Counseling Today: Bridging Art, Science, and Practice." I am a paid professional speaker.
