What's your business, and who are your customers?
We're a music school that offers NYC's finest private music lessons in the comfort of your own home to people of all ages, skill levels, and disciplines for every instrument.
Tell us about yourself
I studied classical composition and classical piano performance at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With 20+ years of teaching experience and having worked writing and playing music around the world, I offer a unique teaching method that our teachers all use in lessons.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Not only keeping the school afloat through the pandemic but having it grow.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
There aren't enough hours in a day. But I love what I do and am really happy to be able to help as many people reach their goals and dreams as our community of teachers can.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Make sure you really understand tax law as soon as you possibly can. Don't be afraid to work all the time at first but make sure you find a work-life balance after you get your feet on the ground. Remember how lucky you are to be able to be your own boss and have fun!
