What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a business mentor for service providers/freelancers to support them in creating consistent $5k months while working 20 hours a week.
Tell us about yourself
I am super passionate about helping other service providers/freelancers create this sort of consistency in their businesses because I know how hard it can be to overcome that newbie phase without burning out. I noticed, about 18 months into running my freelancing business, that the way I was trying to grow my business wasn't working anymore, and I was going to burn out before I was able to actually see the fruits of my labor. Within the next 6 months, I was able to scale my business to where it needed to be for me to do it full-time. I realized after that there are so many people who burn out before they get to the best part! I just knew I had to help show them a better/ more simple path.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I've built out a product suite that serves my people so well, and I KNOW the offers I've put together actually work. The integrity piece is huge for me!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The perseverance, for sure. So many people start a business but aren't prepared for all of the rejection and seeing people pass up offers that they know are right for them.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Surround yourself with people who understand what you're doing/going through.
- If you focus on building relationships, you'll have customers for life.
- Nothing is set in stone- if you don't like something, change it!
