Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Elle Jones, Founder of Elle Jones Coaching & Consulting, located in New York, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Elle Jones Coaching & Consulting. As a Hi Focus Coach™, I empower high-performing women to recalibrate their business and personal life. Specifically, I support ambitious women as they elevate self-discipline, boundaries, productivity, and energy management to become better CEOs of their businesses.

Tell us about yourself

Elle Jones Coaching & Consulting was birth out of my experience as Founder of the She Means Business Incubator™. As the founder of SMBI, I worked around the clock to operate our 8-week business development program for almost three years. The voluminous nature of the work led me to a CEO burnout and eventually an 8-month sabbatical. During my sabbatical, I established self-discipline and energy management habits that allowed me to elevate my self-discipline, energy management, and productivity. I knew the practices I developed needed to be shared with other women entrepreneurs experiencing burnout in their businesses. To support other high-performing women, I launched Elle Jones Coaching & Consulting in January 2022.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment to date was launching SMBI and acquiring multiple corporate sponsorships to support historically underrepresented entrepreneurs. The program operated for 2.5 years, and we successfully graduated three cohorts of participants.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest part of entrepreneurship is getting a new idea off the ground. It takes consistent effort and the ability to articulate your vision to get others on board. You really have to be focused on the end result and have the tenacity to power forward.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Conduct market research. It's important to have a strong understanding of your market and industry before you launch.
  2. Get help early on! Hire a coach to bridge skills gaps you may have. We all have weak areas; I recommend addressing those areas early on.
  3. Exercise discipline on day one. When your motivation fades, you will need the discipline to carry you through the hard days.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am currently accepting new clients for 90-Day Power Pivot coaching. If you're a women entrepreneur generating at least $100K annually in an online business, I invite you to schedule a consultation call to learn how Hi Focus coaching can transform your life & business in 90 days.
