What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is Gymnastics Trampoline Tumbling, with recreational classes and a competitive team. Our customers are of any age, any gender. We also do private events like birthday parties and corporate team bonding events.
Tell us about yourself
From seven years old until 24, I was a professional gymnast-trampolinist. At 17, I also started to coach and fell in love teaching the kids what I knew! After moving to the USA in 1999 and working for someone for 12 years, I decided I wanted to expand and do things on a bigger scale with the trampoline and tumbling. I love seeing kids progress in their skills, achieving goals, and earning awards!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Keeping my staff connected, educating, and bringing new ideas into everyday work. Creating a good reputation in the community.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Juggling leadership, and business obstacles, still actively coaching, finding free time, and working too many hours.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Having a saving or life partner that you can financially rely on for a few years.
- Find the right people for each department. Observe what they are good at and give them that field to blossom in.
- Be able to do any aspect of your business. Office, quick books, coach, talk to the clients. So you can always fulfill that position if needed!
