What's your business, and who are your customers?
EMP is a coaching and consulting firm that helps high-performing athletes and executives.
Tell us about yourself
I'm an entrepreneur, professional speaker, educator, coach, and consultant specializing in Elite Mindset & Performance Training. But more than that, I'm a father, friend, teammate, and brother to those around me. Born in the small steel town of Lorain, Ohio, located just outside of Cleveland, I was raised alongside my older brother and sister by my widowed father. From the very beginning of my life, I faced extreme challenges and hardships that have greatly shaped the man I am today.
Former NFL player by way of THE Ohio State University, I have impacted the lives of countless people through my passion and dedication. For the past 15 years as a fundraiser, I worked hand-in-hand with coaches, staff, and student and professional athletes inside the most respected athletic department in the country. While in that role, I guided C-Suite/senior level executives and entrepreneurs on growth, flexibility, effective leadership, and communication, in addition to raising tens of MILLIONS of dollars in philanthropic support for my alma mater.
Effective communication, motivation, leadership, and education through empathy, vulnerability, and owning your voice are how I successfully empower athletes, executives, and organizations to become ELITE. I'm highly motivated to do what I do every day because I have a passion for people, for helping people be the best version of themselves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Securing a large long-term contract within the first couple of months of officially launching my new business.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Having a work/life balance.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Surround yourself with a driven team you can trust.
- Do it, even if you're scared.
- BELIEVE in yourself.

I'm so passionate about helping others and giving back that EMP will also be starting a charity in the very near future.
