What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a horror movie-themed restaurant. We are the only one of our kind in Canada and were created by three friends who love horror movies. Our customers are people of all ages who enjoy great locally sourced food and movies.

Tell us about yourself

I have always dreamed of owning my own restaurant. I have worked in the industry for years and have always had a passion for great food and an amazing atmosphere. I take pride in the fact that we've created a truly unique atmosphere while at the same time celebrating some of Edmonton's top breweries, distilleries, and farms.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Since we are a fairly new restaurant and have been in the pandemic almost since we opened, I am proud that we have been able to persevere and continue operating thanks to our amazing customers.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I would say managing to the priorities of the business while balancing family life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Create a comprehensive business plan, have related management experience, be willing to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Be very active in social media and related industry events.
