Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ed Krow, Founder of Ed Krow, LLC, located in Silver Spring, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I work with executives, business owners, and decision-makers struggling with people's problems. My talent transformation process teaches employers how to:

  • Adapt to changing business conditions.
  • Meet customer, investor, and community expectations.
  • Turn ineffective HR functions into strategic contributors that drive business results.

So when people ask, "What is talent transformation?" I simply show them the positive results that each and every client experiences after working with me.

Tell us about yourself

I am the Talent Transformation Expert for businesses looking to achieve 8-figure growth. I challenge the traditional model of HR and prepare my clients for motivating their people with a win-win strategy. With a proven track record in HR, I am a people expert who uses my unique talent transformation process to leverage existing talent and align employees with organizational strategy to create change, drive sustainable growth, and maintain overall happiness. I help solve people's problems and write books about solving people's problems, but I'm also a business owner. It's not only experience; it's living with the same problems my clients do and sharing how to overcome them that people value the most.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have helped over 250 clients, including Fortune 500 companies, achieve talent and culture transformations. As a result, clients value my deep understanding of the employee/employer dynamic and my ability to create a connection with them right away.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Marketing! I love working with clients and bringing solutions to their biggest challenges. But sales and marketing are not my forte! I have a great team around me to help with lead generation to lighten that load.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be persistent. The money may not fall from the sky immediately!
  2. Be patient. It will take time to build a solid customer base and have success stories to share.
  3. Manage your budget. Know that there will always be slow times, and plan for them accordingly.
