What's your business, and who are your customers?
Ecokaya has a one-stop solution for companies and investors that wants to set up and succeed, starting from legal registration, board member advisor, setting up meetings with the stakeholders in the market, and establishing partnerships, campaign activation, training, and media assessment. Ecokaya integrated philosophy building.
The entrepreneurship and leadership ecosystem combines Ecokaya Training Solutions, Ecokaya Corporate, Ecokaya Incubator & Ecokaya Capital. Our driven strategy is to combine knowledge, fundraising, and our big network portfolio (with the main stakeholders in Africa and Portuguese Speaking Countries Market).
Tell us about yourself
Serial entrepreneur, international speaker, elite coach and mentor, keynote speaker, and best-selling author of international acclaim. I am in demand as a catalyst for entrepreneurship and leadership change. With more than 20 years of experience, I co-founded Ecokaya and have been working with Ecokaya Corporate for the last 5 years focusing on training, coaching, mentoring, and lectures in many countries. I also co-founded, Womenice, which focuses on women's economic and leadership empowerment, and the fintech startup company focused on emerging markets. I am a published author, board member, and strategic advisor for several non-profit and social enterprise boards.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My successful track record of partnering with ABInbev and UNDP as an Ambassador and mentor coaching executives and entrepreneurs has drawn invitations to share my knowledge and expertise through many presentations on four continents and in more than 40 countries with my company Ecokaya. I have become an international 'rockstar' of public speaking and young networking guru, sharing the stage and networking with the likes of award-winning Brian Tracy, Google Director, Portuguese President, Mozambican President, Kofi Annan, Richard Branson, Mandela First Lady Graça, among others.
I've come to carry many titles through my work, building and transforming thousands of entrepreneurs and millions of people across Africa and the world with my global and integrated platform. My mission is to create a new generation of leaders in the world, particularly from Africa & Portuguese Speaking Countries. I am a Forbes Council Coaches Member, Judge Member of the American Business Award, listed as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Afro descend by Mipad/UN- New York, and Academic Award Winner by Former Portuguese President Mario Soares, among others.
With more than 20 years of experience, I worked as a public speaker who advocates for entrepreneurship and a leadership ecosystem that is more dynamic and inclusive. And my crowning achievement is my leadership methodology Succenergy, which is an inspirational and motivational-based concept to empower people, entrepreneurs, and leaders. And this leadership concept is used in various workshops, training programs, and lectures presented by my company Ecokaya in different countries such as Uganda, Sao Tome, Principe, Cape Verde, Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Rwanda, USA, Swaziland, Mozambique, and many others. I have served nearly 1 million people from 20 countries around the world with my global platform (media, lectures, training, coaching, talk shows, social media, books, etc.)
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Human resources management.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
"Don't be afraid to be afraid, have the courage to face fear, and jump - there are lots of great things that happen when we decide to take risks. Take small steps and actions instead of waiting for the right moment, you only make this walk learning by doing."
