Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Shaina Anderson, Studio Owner of Eat The Frog Fitness (Ooltewah), located in Ooltewah, TN, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a 24/7 personalized small group training facility, and our workouts are for ages 9-99! All fitness levels are welcome, from beginners to competitive athletes.
Tell us about yourself
I decided to open an Eat The Frog studio because I was a member of the Covington, WA studio first. When my husband and I moved to Chattanooga last February, and there was nothing like this here, I knew this community needed it! We are very passionate about living an active, healthy lifestyle, and sharing that with our community is what gets us up in the morning.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We've broken records, and we aren't even officially open yet! Our studio had a record-breaking number of new members on day 1 of membership sales - Ooltewah is so excited about this!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balancing business ownership with family life. We homeschool our four children in addition to running our studio, and learning how to balance that has probably been just as hard as the business itself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Look for and talk with people who have done what you want to accomplish, set goals for yourself and go after them relentlessly, and remember WHY you're doing this because there will be hard days.
Where can people find you and your business?
If you like what you've read here and have your own story as a solo or small business entrepreneur that you'd like to share, then please answer these interview questions. We'd love to feature your journey on these pages.
