What's your business, and who are your customers?
East Cobb Weight Loss Center offers a weight and lifestyle management protocol medically developed and based on validated science for safe weight loss via Ideal Protein. East Cobb Weight Loss Center's mission statement is committed to helping the members of our community feel their best not just for a moment but for a lifetime!
Our clients are people of all ages, from young to old, male and female, looking to improve their quality of life. Whether that is losing weight, fat, or eliminating the need for prescription drugs, each client has their story of "WHY."
Tell us about yourself
I am a family guy that has four older kids, and I work out every day of the week. I am a firm believer of eating "right" and exercising to feel my best, and that's what I try to convey to all my clients. I got into health & wellness through my Master's in Physical Education and then my Health Coaching Certification. I started my business about eight years ago because it gives me the intrinsic motivation I was seeking in a career. I always had a passion for helping people in ways where they could better themselves, whether physically or mentally.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I would say the biggest accomplishment of being a business owner is that I started the business from scratch as a sole proprietor and built a reputable company within my community with many happy clients. My business has also been awarded numerous accolades from different publications. I'm very proud of those accolades because it took a lot of hard work for me to get where I am today.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I would say the hardest thing is taking care of the entire business from A to Z. However, if you are organized, you will do a better job of managing the business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Create a mission statement and a plan before you start your business. You need to know who your market is and what your competition is.
- Define to yourself why you are doing the business.
- Do a great job for your clients or customers, and they will give you many, many referrals.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Just be yourself and work out your plan!!!
