What's your business, and who are your customers?
Earth Feather Healings supports people in the spiritual realm through Psychic and Medium readings, spiritual healing, and helping energetically sensitive people learn tools to support themselves and have an overall sense of freedom in their body and their life.
Tell us about yourself
I remember the first Psychic I ever saw. She changed my whole life. She connected to one of my grandfathers, who had concern for me which encouraged me to pick my whole life up and move. During that move, I found a church full of Psychics, and for the first time in my life, I feel at home.
I remember feeling and thinking that receiving a Psychic reading was like seeing a therapist who knew all and saw all. The level of healing you can do in one session is the magnitude of what years of therapy can do. I found it incredible and wanted to help others in the same way. The World can be a much brighter place if we all feel just a little more at peace in our hearts than we did the day before.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment brings tears to my eyes thinking about it.
I was helping a little child, a one-year-old girl, who was going thru life-threatening cancer. Her mom was having me visit her and do some "hands-on healing" on her.
She had been fighting cancer for a while at this point and had gone through some serious treatments. One day her mom came to see me for a Psychic reading while her daughter was with her grandam. She spoke about how her daughter had gotten an innocent scratch on her finger that then became infected. It got so bad that they were going to have to amputate it the next day. My heart broke. After all, she had been through this.
So I said, "let me see what I can do." I took a look at it energetically and started doing a little Psychic Surgery/healing on it. Once it looked good energetically, we moved on to the next topic.
Weeks later, I received a handwritten letter in the mail from this mom. She wrote, "on my way home from our session, I was driving up the mountain, and I had no phone service. I stopped at this point to sit and meditate, as we spoke about in the reading. When I got back into service, my phone was blowing up with pictures of my daughter's finger going from purple, to red, to pink, to normal. Her finger was completely healed, and we never had to amputate it." I couldn't believe it. I started bawling, how grateful that she didn't have to go through that pain.
And I was amazed, and I had seen some incredible things happen through my line of work but never ever had I seen anything like that. It makes you believe in a whole different layer of how important and powerful this work is and can be. If used correctly, it can make miracles happen. Saving this little girl's finger was a miracle. Also, she is free of cancer and turning six this year!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Believing in yourself.
I have lived a life where I have had/chosen to be alone. That was my way of knowing how to survive. Learning how to live life alone and then stepping onto a path that many think of as a devil's path and not having a lot of support behind you was hard.
I lost friends, and my family became distant. I felt alone. And I felt a strong passion and a sense of purpose with it. I had to believe so deeply in something that is invisible to the naked eye. Believing in spirit was the easy part. Getting other people to believe in me was easy once in a session with me, but believing in myself. That was the real struggle. Can I do this? Can I go the distance? That is a mental game that has to be won over on a daily.
Multiple years later, on that path, I am a lot better. But I still have my moments when I want to stretch myself into the next layer of my business that I have to sit down and have "the talk" with myself. In that talk, I had to remind myself how capable I am and how supported by the spirit I am, and how my heart, in the right place, can do anything.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Passion takes you the distance. It is what picks you up when you give up.
- Not giving up is the difference between making it or not.
- Being adaptive, creative, and progressive are great, and kind of key skill sets to have.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I am really grateful I was brave enough, stupid enough, and smart enough to step onto this path. Every moment when I wanted to give up, I thought about what else I would do with my life. I always come back to this and the people I have helped and currently still help. I have clients that see me monthly that have been seeing me almost since the beginning of my practice.
Getting to witness their growth and transformation is phenomenal. And now that I teach people how to do what I do, it is beautiful that the 100s of life I can touch in one year are now the 1000s between myself and my students. It all makes a little difference that makes a big impact in a really beautiful direction.
And lastly, I think it is fascinating to look around my home, my life, and everything in it and think, "wow, spirit paid for all of this." It makes you realize how important God and our connection to our spiritual self are. #winningblissfully
