Tell us about yourself

My name is Earl Mimes, a military veteran currently serving in the US Army. I chose to start selling clothing because I wanted to make shirts or designs that had meaning behind them. Because most shirts or brands don’t. My motivation comes from peers and customers that encourage me to keep going, and they like what I’m doing.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment, I’ll say, is being about to give others the opportunity to do what I’m doing. I’ve given advice and help to others to start a clothing line, and they are doing well.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Time management is the hardest thing that comes with this. I can’t give my all due to my military and family commitment.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Structure your business correctly.
  2. Stick with one logo.
  3. Advertise Advertise Advertise.
