What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have an importing, manufacturing, and distribution company. We provide unique professional brands to estheticians, aestheticians, spas, medical spas, and salons. We also sell our brands to distribution companies in the US and globally that sell only to professionals in the spa industry.
Tell us about yourself
I have been an entrepreneur my entire life. What motivates me is that all of my work, my focus, my personality, and my time benefit me, not someone else's business. I'm way too awesome to give all of that energy for a paycheck. Owning a business is expansive, creative, and exciting! I'm living on the edge of life as it unfolds, manipulating the universe to manifest what I desire.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Completely changed my business from brick-and-mortar locations, serving customers face to face, to expanding into a global entity working with thousands of people with tech.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Burnout; when I have a big cash flow, I stay really motivated and ambitious. When things slow down, even if it's temporary, and I know it's temporary, I feel 'burnout.' Don't get me wrong; I never want to quit, but I need to stay balanced. Meditation is my greatest tool while waiting through the slow times. When you're a business owner, the buck stops with you, and that can be a lonely place. Loving myself and caring for myself at those times is essential; no one else can do it for me. That's the core of badass entrepreneur self-reliance!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Never give up.
- Be ready to make a change quickly if you need to.
- Don't be afraid to fail. It just doesn't matter. There's always another angle.
