What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are Seattle's first bubble tea food truck. We offer catering services and have served schools, business campuses, concerts, farmer's markets, and many more.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Kaye Fan. I moved to Seattle from San Francisco in 2017 with my boyfriend, Athan Freitas. I saw the opportunity of opening a bubble tea shop because the bubble tea business was thriving in the Bay Area. I talked to my boyfriend about it, but we didn't know where would be a good location since we were new to the area. We saw a lot of food trucks on the street that's when we got the idea of doing a food truck instead. I started researching and designing the brand, the truck, and the menu. It has been fun! We love seeing customers' happy faces when they receive the drinks.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have never thought one day I would have a job that brings joy to people. Kids love our drinks, and we love seeing them smile:)
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I would say it's time management. I always want to work more and do not know when to stop and give myself time off. But I am getting better at that.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Do your research, put your heart into it, and provide good service.
