In this way, we can take those critical bits of information to healthcare organizations to develop & implement innovative solutions that directly address the needs of the communities they serve with as much timeliness and speed daily.
While evidence-based practices are the backbone of healthcare delivery, the impact comes from combining that with what the healthcare consumers tell us they need. Consequently, we arrive at the best judgment for healthcare organizations and corporations' strategies and approaches to work.

Tell us about yourself
After experiencing subpar healthcare outcomes as a child from encounters with the healthcare system, I made it my life's mission to utilize my clinical knowledge and expertise to positively impact the lives of all recipients of the healthcare system. I am the founder and principal consultant of Impact Nurse Consulting, a healthcare consulting firm founded in 2015 that provides innovative and quality-based solutions that lead to high-quality patient health outcomes for healthcare organizations globally.
I've led my roles as a nurse leader, associate director, and educator for various fortune 500 companies in the area of medical & clinical operations. In addition, I led a fortune seven managed care organization in developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs during the transition of Louisiana Medicaid to a managed care system which resulted in an 87% increase in patient health outcomes & an annual $3.2 cost savings. During my tenure as the associate director for medical & clinical operations, I consistently maintained a 98% success rate in my ability to lead a successful team of healthcare professionals in the areas of productivity, education, motivation, and empowerment which has afforded me the opportunity to be the recipient of the Super Hero award, a prestigious award in which over 1,500 were nominated but only 125 were selected.
I am the author of the best-selling book "In Health On Purpose: Awakening Your True Calling In The Healthcare Profession," which was #6 in the professional development category on Amazon. I've been featured in national publications such as Black Enterprise, Rolling Out, & Scrubs Magazine. I am also the co-founder of the #1 nursing development platform, The Nurse Power Network, which helps nurses find, operate, & dominate in their nurse power and has helped over 20,000 nurses and counting.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Taking Impact Nurse Consulting global and impacting healthcare delivery on a global scale.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Finding your "who's" to help fulfill the vision you have as the business owner. When this isn't done, you have challenges truly scaling & growing. It's especially challenging in times where everyone is an entrepreneur but has just helped us pivot into more partnerships & collaborations.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do NOT let SM fool you. It's more than a logo, colors, & flyers. You need to do a TRUE market analysis, determine what problem you are solving & does the market want your solution, and raise capital if you want to scale.
- Build a TEAM & do right by them!
- Move slow & steady bc that's where sustainability is. Don't worry about people posting their receipts of 30k a month in 90 days, etc.; focus on your journey!
- BONUS Tip: an operations manager and sales/marketing associate are the first people to hire!
