Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dr. Michele Wells, a transformation strategist, author, coach, and speaker, based in Lexington, KY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Transformation Strategist/Life Coach serving professional women who feel stuck or unfulfilled in their lives, to Rediscover purpose and passion, to Realign with values and strengths, and to Reset to move from where they are to want to be with confidence!

Tell us about yourself

I am a Social Work educator and have been for 20 years. I was a clinical social worker before teaching. Through my education and growth in this area, I have learned much. I am passionate about serving people through coaching because it is an amazing partnership. I love the choice that people make to be empowered through coaching. I love to see women step into their greatness and the fullness of what they are designed to do. My coaching program helps them rediscover that passion and use the gifts and expertise they have to move forward with the life plan they desire. That is what motivates me to keep going. As I walk in this amazing work, I am blessed to experience so much joy in my own life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing women open up to who God has created them to be. To see themselves at a deeper level that brings healing and wholeness. They see a greater path before them. Their success is my biggest accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Knowing that you can help someone but that they are afraid or unwilling to invest in themselves. That they will remain stuck and operate at a low frequency when there is more for them. I just have to trust that, at some point, they will find the path for them and become who they are designed to be.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Gather the information needed to establish your business. Tap into people who are experts in running a business.
  2. Remain consistent even when it is hard and discouragement sets in. This is your passion.
  3. Continue to grow and learn your craft. There is always room for improvement.
