What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Reiki Queen and a spiritual connector. At my healing hands center, I focus on assessing and aligning chakras. During my sessions, I delve deeply into the soul to help people truly understand their purpose and to live their best lives. I work with people of all ages and their pets.

Tell us about yourself

I wear many hats. I'm a writer, a Reiki practitioner, a yogi in the making, a health care executive, an entrepreneur, a friend, a mother, a teacher, an extreme cat lover, and a believer that children are our future. I am also a child of the Most High! I began practicing Reiki in January, and seven days later, God spoke to me. It is a long story, but he is truly my motivator. He told me he put me on this earth to do my part to bring love and light back to humankind. I'm here for it!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment thus far is opening the doors to my business in July. I've been practicing at home since February. I did not expect to have a brick-and-mortar space, but the demand was there. I am truly blessed.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

For me, one of the hardest things is uncertainty. I am used to a steady paycheck from my corporate job. Ideally, I would like to focus on my passion full-time. I know this is my calling, so I persevere.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My top 3 tips to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today are to have faith, work hard, and be patient. That is my daily mantra. You have to have faith in yourself and in a higher power. Keep moving. I like to say, "Can't Stop. Won't Stop". We have to work hard. That means learning, growing, not taking no for an answer, and doing your best at all times. And be patient. That is a hard one, but Rome wasn't built in a day! It takes time to build an empire, whether it is a big one or a small one. Sometimes things take a little longer than we expect but stay the course.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We all have a light within us that is ready to emerge and ignite. The light in us, once engaged, will turn this world upside down! Don't be afraid to tap into the light in you. Stay blessed and be a blessing to others.
