What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an author and do professional speaking on Brain Performance, Neuroplasticity, and Stress Management. I speak primarily to Associations and Business Conventions across many industries.

Tell us about yourself

I've been speaking for over 48 years. My first book was How to Relax & Enjoy... The latest iteration is called Managing Your Stress in Difficult Times: Succeeding in Times of Change. Two of my books went to Bestseller on Amazon - Switched-On Selling: Balance your Brain for Salles Success and Switched-On Networking: Balance Your Brain for Networking Success. I view myself as the Johnny Appleseed of Stress Management. I throw out tools and techniques that people can use to manage their stress, and then I move on, just like Johnny.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishments were several: When the Canadian Society of Association Executives recognized me as an Association Excellence Speaker, The Professional Convention Management Association selected me to be an Association Excellence Speaker, and in August, the Veteran Speaker's Network recognized me as a Best-in-Class Speaker. Finally, in August, I was inducted as a Legend of the Speaking Profession by the Veteran Speakers Network.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Having to keep the cash flow going and dealing with staff conflicts.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

You need to learn perseverance which will get you through difficult situations. Keep thinking out of the box. Realize that you need a team of people, live and/or virtual,l to support you in reaching your goals.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

My approach as a speaker is to have fun and turn the audience members onto the abilities they have within themselves.
