What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an Oy to Joy speaker, Author of Moments of the heart, Four Relationships Everyone Should Have to Live Wholeheartedly, and a Positive Intelligence coach inspiring and motivating individuals to navigate challenges (anxiety, stress, relationships, productivity, wellbeing), shift their mindset and discover opportunities of growth, thus find the champion within.

Tell us about yourself

After serving as an officer in the Israeli army and many fulfilling years in the education field, I transitioned to make the world my platform. I knew that people would not find me if I stayed within the walls of my building. My book Moments of the Heart: Four Relationships Everyone Should Have to Live Wholeheartedly helped make the transition and allowed me to use my knowledge and expertise to reach as many people as I could. To inspire them to move forward with their dreams.

Educating and training are my superpowers, together with my energy, of course! I define T.E.A.M. as Together Everyone’s Attributes (are) Magnified. Through my expertise obtained via International Coaching Federation and Positive Intelligence certifications, I now coach and motivate leaders and teams to identify their strengths and improve effectiveness and become the leaders they are meant to be. I promote healthy and positive relationships that reduce stress and help clients achieve higher retention as well as a positive atmosphere in the workplace (and at home!).

When giving keynotes, I invigorate my audiences using impactful stories of challenges sprinkled with tips of positivity to gain awareness. When coaching, leaders are moved to take actions that bring their potential into reality. When delivering training and workshops, I enhance teams’ effectiveness and promote healthy and positive relationships by using a 4-step approach, Awareness, Mental fitness, Communication, and Resilience.

I believe in always continuing my education, so I am a member of the National Speaker Association. I serve on the NSA Oregon Board, am a fellow member of IOC at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, and Past President of Toastmasters for Speaking Professionals. And, of course, I am a certified coach with Positive Intelligence as well as ICF. It is important to continue being educated!

I passionately believe that Positivity is an "inside out” practice that instills a calm, laser focus approach, produces success and growth, AND can be taught to strengthen, cultivate and inspire others to live an enjoyable, healthy and positive life! That is what motivates me every day!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Maybe it sounds silly, but my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is all the people that I met who gave me a chance. I only knew a small religious section of the population in 2018. And leaving that job with the dream to speak at companies, on stages, in front of a completely different crowd, I did not know what to expect or if I could and would succeed. But my passion was larger than my fear. And from one person, it grew and grew. Today my contact list is so varied, and it is delightful to me!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Oh, my gosh- there are a lot of hard things about being a business owner who is an entrepreneur. Where should I start?:) Not knowing when the next check will come from and being OK with that! This is a question that hovers on top of my head." will I make enough money this month.." yet not allowing the fear to take over is a big one too! Since I am a speaker/coach/author, my brand is me! And while it is easy for me to be authentic, I always have to measure it with an assessment of the audience in front of me and how I can serve them (not me) to the best of my ability.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Oh, do I have an answer for you-- RELOK. It is one word that does not appear in the dictionary. I made it up and even spoke about it on stage! If you have a goal to start, run and grow your business, you must pay attention. RELOK stands for REason+LOve+Knowledge. What is your REASON for wanting to achieve this goal? What is your bigger why? What is your raison d’être for wanting this goal this much? What is your motivation for achieving this goal? Some may want to use the word purpose here.

I choose to make it even simpler than that. The REASON must come from you, not from society or the people around you. The clearer you are for your deeper why and your reason, the more you will be successful in achieving this goal. Love. Do you love what you envision as the goal? Assess if you want to accomplish this goal out of your own desire, a burning desire, belief, convictions, or others.

Do you use your own REason to activate love for the goal? Does it get you out of bed with curiosity? Do you surround yourself with people who share your love for achieving your goal? Or, are you allowing self-doubt and lack of confidence to penetrate into your psyche? It could be that at first, you can’t feel the love…search for it. Without loving your goal, your goal will stay a dream knowledge.

Now that you have established your REason, your LOve, it is time for the third step. And that is Knowledge. What do you need to learn to make this goal a reality? What are the ways you can gain that knowledge, and from where? What is the time allocation you are willing to invest in? What are the strengths you need to grow and develop so you can be more prepared for the future goal you set for yourself?

This is self-directed learning. It's not about getting into classes with hundreds of other people searching for knowledge. It is how you see and utilize the knowledge that you have for achieving YOUR goal.

RELOK=Reason+Love+Knowledge. Once you get these three tips, you WILL achieve your goal!
