We specialize in creating podcasts in the knowledge and learning space that spread across a wide spectrum of business, career, personal development, mental health, marketing, coaching, spirituality, and more.

Our purpose is to spread the voice of wisdom to the entire world because we believe that with personal growth – each individual can make a better choice for their life and career that will move us to a better tomorrow. At DFYP, we enable people of worth and wisdom to broadcast their voice, expertise, and thought leadership through the medium of branded podcasts.

Tell us about yourself

I chanced upon podcasts around 2016 when I started listening to a lot of startup and business podcasts. They provided me with a lot of information about how to run a better business. That was like free advice and nuggets of gold being shared on shows like Problem Solvers, The Startup Show, My First Million, and many more.

But at that time, I had this notion that podcasts are produced by big media houses and only celebrities and journalists host them – much like any other mass media channel. But when during the pandemic, I looked towards global space to expand my coaching and consulting business – I found that many solopreneurs and coaches are leveraging podcasts as a powerful marketing tool to grow their business. And then it struck me – that podcast is the most democratized way to have your own media channel to broadcast your knowledge and get clients through it.

I launched my podcast Ace the Sales in June 2020, and since then – there has been no looking back. One thing led to another – and from doing my own podcast, I started helping other coaches launch their business podcasts, set up a mighty team, and soon a full fledge podcast company got created.

The thing that motivates me the most is that as a business owner, I can bring my best competencies as a sales strategist and podcaster to elevate my clients in their businesses.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Over 15+ years of my entrepreneurial journey, there are many awards and accolades that I am very grateful to receive, like the Most Empowering Podcast award by Women’s Web for podcast Ace the Sales, which also got shortlisted for International Women’s Award by Skylark Collective, I got to be on the TEDx stage as a speaker, featured in Consultant Review’s Top 20 Women consultants of India 2020 and so many more.

But the biggest accomplishment is that I can keep myself aligned with my purpose of being a catalyst to the growth journey of my clients. Every business is a success till the time it keeps the best interests of its clients at the core of it. And my biggest accomplishment is that all of my businesses, past or present, have flourished because I keep that as my north star.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Entrepreneurs, by default, are idea generators. And to each problem, they will find 100 ways to solve it. Sometimes it becomes a challenge to stay focused, and it becomes really hard to say no to some brilliant ideas.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Slow down but do not stop: Entrepreneurship is hard. It is not as sexy as it looks on Shark Tank. And with a growing business, you are responsible for the careers and households of people who work with you. So, while you should take time out to slow down, rest, and rejuvenate – make sure that every day you move the needle forward.
  2. Focus on self-development: Your business is an extension of you. It is a reflection of your vision. So raise yourself in order to raise your business, sales, and revenue. Devote time for skill development, spirituality, and reflection.
  3. Plant seeds of goodwill: Businesses are run on relationships. Customers buy from you because they know, like, and trust you. This is especially true for a service-based business like ours, where my early customers were from my network and peer coaches and consultants. So, keep planting seeds of good relationships, network with the intention of value creation, and be generous with giving your support to communities and interest groups. It is the best sales strategy.
