Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Douglas Doman, Founder and CEO of Doman International Institute, located in Conshohocken, PA, USA.

What's your organization, and who are your members?

Doman International is a non-profit organization that aims to help parents with children who suffer from brain injuries. We use holistic methods to teach our parents how to care for and help their special needs children. Our parents come from 60 countries and six continents.

Tell us about yourself

My father, Glenn Doman, developed the Doman Method after the 2nd World War. We have continued this work, and I have been involved for 48 years. The joy of seeing our parents watch their child crawl, creep, walk, and/or talk gives us the motivation to keep doing what we do every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing a severely brain-injured child walk, talk, read, write, and graduate to total wellness. Our organization is a 501c(3), and it is not owned.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Providing the very best services for our parents of children with brain injuries at the lowest possible cost.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Adopt the EOS business system and follow it precisely.
  2. Enroll in Tony Robbins Business Mastery Course and follow it precisely.
  3. Make certain you've got the right people in the right seats.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We are fighting an uphill battle. The international industry that is responsible for children with brain injuries knows nothing about brain growth and development. The treatments are archaic, and they do not work. Taxpayers pay billions and billions and billions of dollars, and the system is unknowingly designed to hold children with brain injuries in the same place.
