What's your business, and who are your customers?

Diaga Irish Dance is a school of traditional Irish dance for children 4 and up. Our classes are high-energy and fun, and our students work hard to achieve success!

Tell us about yourself

I started Irish dancing at the age of 4 and was trained by one of the best in the business. I achieved competitive success in my dance career, placing 4th in the World Irish Dance Championships. At the age of 19, I was selected to join the Riverdance - The Show cast. I toured with the company for 10 years and performed all over the world! I subsequently opened Diaga Irish Dance and have been teaching ever since.

I love what I do and am blessed to pass on all I have learned. I am motivated to evolve as a teacher and choreographer continually, and I am driven to see my students reach their fullest potential.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is surviving 12 years as a small business owner and sole proprietor! I began with a clear vision and intention and have not relented.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is uncertainty. Intuition and strong belief systems are essential tools in navigating precarious times.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
