What's your business, and who are your customers?

I do consulting with small businesses. I help them get started and/or grow. My main focus is bookkeeping and tax preparation. I am also a notary.

Tell us about yourself

At the age of 21, in 1998, I held the title of The Youngest African American Female Franchise Owner for Subway sandwich shop. I owned my own business at such a young age. I wish then I had the services that I offer, offered to me at the small business level. I learned the hard way and the expensive way. I decided to make my business offer to those who would accept the assistance. That is what drives me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Owning my own and standing by my accomplishments as well as my mistakes.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Time management and consistency is the biggest challenge.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Write down what you want for and out of your business.
  2. Stay true to yourself and your goals.
  3. Keep positivity in your mindset on a daily basis.
