Tell us about yourself

I am a native North Carolinian, born in Eastern, North Carolina, who is an Executive Consultant based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I became a Consultant after being frustrated by the lack of 'real' Business Advisors when I initially wanted to start my Small Business. After wasting thousands of dollars hearing the same pitch, I realized I had more experience and knowledge than the folks advising me. So, I started my own firm by simply notifying my connections that I had entered Consulting and needed Business. I'm motivated daily by the thought of not maximizing my potential.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a Business Owner is seeing a previously scrambled puzzle come together upon my finishing an assignment or project for a client.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest part of being a Business Owner is the constant reminder that many people are counting on you to have a successful life. This is a tremendous burden, yet also an exhilarating motivation.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Seek Professional Assistance. Paying for advice upfront saves you a lot of stress and disappointment later.
  2. Believe in yourself.
  3. Trust God to honor your effort.
