Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Danny Bader, Professional Facilitator, Speaker, and Coach of jckrbbt Consulting, located in West Conshohocken, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm an author of 4 books and a speaker. I write, speak and podcast with the intention of supporting people on the journey we call LIFE. I work to support them in creating more focus on their vision, more resilience to move through their challenges, and more awareness of this beautiful experience of being alive.

My core customers are corporations hosting large conferences for their people, as well as event planners who book speakers for large events and meetings.

Tell us about yourself

I've always been interested in personal growth. This interest was made firm in me when my friend and I had a tragic accident where we lowered a metal ladder into an electric line with 8,000 volts of electricity moving through it. The electricity came down the ladder and surged into both of us, killing my friend and me...only I came back to life after about 8 minutes.

I'm inspired each day to share my journey back from this tragedy and create content for my audience to support them and inspire them to not just go through the motions of living but rather to be fully alive and engaged in their life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The writing and publishing of my four books and building a sustainable business whose purpose is to support and inspire others.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I believe there are a few hard things that come with being a business owner:

  1. Gaining a clear focus on your product(s) and audience/customers.
  2. Trying to do it all yourself and not asking for help.
  3. Trust in yourself when times get rough (i.e., COVID).

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be sure as to why you want to have your own business--what's your purpose?
  2. Surround yourself with great people and invest in them. You stay focused on what you do well.
  3. Do the work to develop a strong and authentic belief in yourself. (invest in your own development).

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Yes, a quote by the Irish poet George Bernard Shaw, "Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." Everyone has within them the human spirit to create their experience--to create good times and move through the inevitable challenges of life.

Also, I would love to share one of the articles about me!
