BatCat Social Media Management - Dani L. Hauk

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in marketing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dani L. Hauk, Founder of BatCat Social Media Management, located in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Social media has become the best way to reach consumers. I help busy companies stay relevant on social media platforms.

Tell us about yourself

I was very drawn to the immediate satisfaction of connecting a company with a possible consumer. I strive to connect businesses with the people who need them most.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have “secretly” worked for some of the BIGGEST companies out there. I feel the most accomplished when my client feels the most rewarded.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Owning a business is not easy. However, owning a company that is consistently growing and evolving makes the small struggles less relevant. Outside of pride, the hardest thing is truly finding the right client.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

If I could write a manual…

  1. Be true to what you’re passionate about.
  2. The only person holding you back is yourself.
  3. No shoes, no shirt, no service… set healthy boundaries for yourself.
