What's your business, and who are your customers?
I own and operate Garrison Brothers Distillery, which authentically manufactures and markets a family of bourbon brands to a family (some call it a "cult") of wonderful bourbon drinkers throughout the world.
Tell us about yourself
I lost my software marketing job in 2001 and had to figure out what would be next. I made a good choice.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a corporate culture that is focused on a mission of doing good to each other and the world. People rarely leave our family.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Liability fears. We would never ever want to hurt anyone with our products or our actions.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
When someone tells you it won't work, tell them to go to hell, and do it anyway. Never give up on your dreams.
