What's your business, and who are your customers?
Fitness and wellness coaching for people interested in improving their lives on all levels, physically, mentally, and spiritually. My Simply Vegan Spiritual Life online course & coaching is for helping people of faith go vegan and increase their God connection.
Tell us about yourself
A lifelong athlete - I made boxing history as a teen when I won a discrimination lawsuit for the right to box and became the first female in the U.S. to have a sanctioned amateur bout against another female. I won by unanimous decision. I later became a champion bodybuilder. So coaching and helping others is a natural passion that drives me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating my online course - I have more in the works, but this was the first one, and it's very special to me. I hope to reach many people who are interested in going vegan but don't know where to start.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
You never clock out.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
You have to be driven by a greater purpose than just paying the bills - it has to be more in order to get through the rough times. Don't expect support from friends or family. You must be a master of time management and organization.
