Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in digital marketing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jeffrey Bartlett Jr., Founder & CEO of D Y F R E N T, located in New York, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

D Y F R E N T is a creative agency, everyone is a customer. B2C, we have a brand of curated clothing and art that is being built to rival LVMH and Kith. B2B all companies are businesses; not all companies are brands. DYFRENT CONSULTING is built to rival Deloitte and VaynerMedia. Your company deserves a luxury brand to be the architect building the brand for your company. We create products and art that everyone can aspire to own. All Businesses need branding and marketing, which is also one of the most commonly outsourced professions at the moment.

Tell us about yourself

D Y F R E N T was first conceived as an effort to own the value I give to the world and enable me to take the first step in my goal of building a city and bringing back The Mouseion >> what museums are meant to be. The scholars and artists of the museum should be afforded to live in the museum, not dissimilar to the environment of the Library of Alexandria. This allowed for the best to truly work together to do their best work, constantly taking what was good and creating something optimal >> these are the tenants that the company is based on. These are my objectives in life and why I am here. This vision to build a city and innovate society was worked from end to beginning, and the first step is to own a brand paired with a marketing agency.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I took D Y F R E N T to Paris Fashion Week, and we put on a Showroom. We are still reaping the benefits of the relationships and connections we made during that time. DYFRENT CONSULTING >> we were brand partners and helped put on an event at Art Basel in Miami.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Courage >> Tenacity >> Sophistication

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Master yourself >> your self-confidence >> self-worth >> self-awareness >> self-discipline. You won't be able to demand anything from others you don't ask of yourself. Become the shining example.
  2. Master Leadership. Nobody did it alone >> if you own it >> it must be your vision >> in order for execution to be consistent >> everyone involved takes on the culture of the Leader over time.
  3. Master your asymmetric advantage. Everyone has an asymmetric advantage >> something you can do, understand, or have access to that you can use to your advantage >> don't feel guilt or greed for using what only you can do to win >> for it is by becoming the best versions of ourselves that we can give more to others.
