Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Cyndi Lynne Lamarucciola, Founder of Cyndi Lynne, LLC., located in St. Paul, MN, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

As an Integrative Life Coach, I help women discover and live their best life after a diagnosis. Hearing "those words" or getting "that news" changes our lives forever. It's all too common for our diagnoses to become our identity. And if by chance, we want to shed that identity, we often try to return to our past and our "old life," only to discover that our old life no longer fits. It is for all of us who have had this experience that I created The Heal Your Life Community. It's a monthly membership that allows us to rediscover and rebuild our lives, one focus area at a time. Whether it's self-image, relationships, rebuilding health, or careers, members enjoy access to lessons and live Q & A calls with me. It really doesn't matter if it's cancer, diabetes, autoimmune, or anxiety because the focus of The Heal Your Life Community is the whole person, not just the diagnosis. As a nurse, I bring the knowledge, understanding, and personalization that makes clients very comfortable, but the aim is to move beyond the diagnosis and back into life.

Tell us about yourself

As a nurse, I felt frustrated by the narrow focus of treating only a patient's diagnosis and not the whole patient. I left the bedside and spent 25+ years in the corporate world of medical device companies. I felt called to return to personalized care and especially to work with those who wanted to take charge of their lives and their health. I started by teaching Pilates and then became certified in Yoga and Reiki. While using these tools to help clients improve their health, I began to get requests to work and speak on managing diagnoses as a part of life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Becoming very clear about who I serve. As with most service-based entrepreneurs, this has been an evolution.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Doing the "business" work! It's so much more fun working with clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be willing to evolve and have iterations. Your website, program, or marketing materials won't ever be "final," so don't wait to start. Find a good mastermind group for where you are today, and then move on to others as you grow. Talk about your business every chance you get. That doesn't mean selling, but talking about what you do--it's the best way to get clarity for yourself.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Thank you for this opportunity! If there is anyone within your organization who is managing a diagnosis, I would be happy to talk with them.
