Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Catherine Wortmann, founder of CW Healing, located in Groveland, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is CW Healing; my name is Catherine Wortmann. I inspire passion and purpose through a connection to nature and spirit. My clients are seeking "something more" and want to live a full and useful life of purpose. My services include custom-guided yoga hikes, yoga adventures, and inspirational Yosemite-based retreats.

Tell us about yourself

I love sharing the natural world with people, but what really keeps me going is when my clients have an embodied experience and feel what it means to be alive... I mean, really alive. I live for that spark!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have met all of my goals thus far, and I think that is huge. I had some growing pains during 2020, but my business is stronger than ever and growing. This feels like a huge accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing for me about being a business owner is keeping time for what is really important, like my kid's school play. It is easy to overbook myself and want to say "yes" to all of the clients. That attitude leaves my family in the dust. I really have to prioritize what is important to maintain balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Do it!

  1. Dream
  2. Imagine
  3. Create

It is that simple.
