What's your business, and who are your customers?
CurlyTop Baker is a gourmet cookie company that features fun flavors and delish varieties of cookies. Our cookies are made with the best ingredients and are loaded with toppings, making them an eye-catching treat! We currently offer our cookies for purchase via our web store and offer bulk pucks to vendors, grocers, stadiums, and catering events.
Tell us about yourself
CurlyTop Baker started with a vision of feeding the homeless in the Las Vegas Valley by sharing a little love and hope one freshly baked, gourmet cookie at a time. As the love for our cookies began to spread, what started out as baking for family, friends, neighbors, and school functions quickly grew into a business founded on the desire to have a lasting impact on our community. The love for our mission behind our cookies is what motivates me daily. Our cookies are a special dessert to many but to those less fortunate, a delicacy! We are more than just a cookie company!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment thus far is surviving Covid-19! Our business struggled as most did, and we saw a decrease in sales, but we got creative in our marketing of online purchases and took advantage of many that were working from home and on the web to ship our cookies straight to their doorstep.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is juggling all that is needed on a daily basis, from sales, inventory, accounting, and human resources; I am in charge of it all! It's been a challenging task to train and delegate these duties.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The top 3 tips I would give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business would be to pray before starting, get a mentor that can help you in your industry, and develop a marketing strategy to make your brand a household name!
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Our team distributes freshly baked cookies within the Las Vegas Valley & beyond on a monthly basis. This act of kindness has left a lasting impression on our hearts and has created friendships along the way. The stories of those receiving our cookies have been life-changing. The impact that a single cookie made with love is priceless!
CurlyTop Baker Cares, Inc. supports several non-profit, charitable organizations with the same vision. Our donated cookies travel across the world, feeding children and women RESCUED by the sex trafficking industry. A portion of the proceeds from each order is funneled back into these amazing causes. To date, we have donated over 35,000 cookies! Our goal is to reach and feed more with our cookies. Our passion has led us to the expansion of our own non-profit, CurlyTop Baker Cares, Inc.
